Starozagorski mineralni bani, Bulgaria
Starozagorski mineralni bani is a national resort complex, 10 kilometers from Stara Zagora. The climate is continental with an expressive mountain cold. In the winter the average temperature is 1°Ñ in January. The summer days are sunny and hot while the evenings are cool. The favorable climate and the hot mineral sources have been catching people of the ancient times. The main healing factor in the resort is the mineral water offering excellent opportunities in combination with the favorable climate for a rest and treatment. It is appropriate for remedy of diseases of the motive apparatus and the marginal systema nervosum, bilious, gastrointestinal and other diseases.

The Bogorodichna step area is located near Starozagorski mineralni bani. There is a rock formation in the form of a woman leg, which was, according to the legend, left by the Holly Mother. A small chapel was built and the place is considered a sanctuary and healing. Two altars from the time of the Thracian tribes are nearby.

Remains of an old Roman bath can be seen in the central part of Starozagorski mineralni bani resort. 6 km south-east, in the Mechi Kladenetz area, the oldest copper mines in Europe are preserved. They date back to 5 Millenium BC.

The resort is a starting point for eco paths to Momini gardi mount. Different tracks for eco and photo tourism can be also explored in the vicinity.
