Chiflik, Bulgaria
The village of Chiflik is located in the upper river valley of Beli Osam River, in the south-western part of Troyan Municipality. The town of Troyan is 15 km in north-east direction. The village of Ribaritza on the east is also close proximity.Chiflik is a unique resort complex for its unrepeatable combination of nature and architecture. The whole region has Alpine characteristics. Different landmarks and sights, part of ‘Central Balkan’ National Park – ‘Ushite’ /’The Ears’/ rock phenomenon, Kashka and Markova livada cols, etc., are in this village and in the surrounding area. When tourists visit all these magnificent places, they will hear the legends for the Elenova /Rogacheva/ River and for the edelweiss flower. Unforgettable memories will be left in everyone. The river valley of Beli Osam River and its surrounding rivers is all in green colors – many different plants and trees can be seen here: beech-tree, coniferous tree, hornbeam, hazelbush – there is no uncultivated lands whatsoever. A lot of animals can be watched in the forests – deers, roes, wild-boars, etc. The average temperature in Chiflik in January is about 0 - +1 degrees Celsius, and in July – 20-21 degrees Celsius. The winter here is not very cold although there is a snow blanket for skiers, while the summer is not too hot. Small restaurants in a native Bulgarian atmosphere offer wonderful spending of your time in Chiflik. You will be able to taste the famous Bulgarian cuisine in an authentic style. The whole area around Chiflik and near-by mountains has marked eco-paths that can be explored by tourists all the year round. Excellent opportunities for eco- and rural tourism are provided. Herb-gathering is also possible on beautiful meadows. Religious tours can also be easily organized due to the large number of monasteries and churches around. |
